Beg by CD Reiss

My name is Monica. I’m a singer born and raised in Los Angeles.
I’ve stopped dating. When I cut a record, or win a Grammy, maybe then I’ll be with someone, but every man in my past has done everything he could to make me submit myself to him, and it’s gotten in the way of my career. I won’t do it again.

But there’s Jonathan. He owns the high-rise hotel where I work, and he is gorgeous and charming. I refuse to fall in love with him, even though when he asks me to submit to him, I want nothing more.

This book was surprisingly good. I was expecting a desperate female character who severely lacked self confidence. A love at first sight do anything he says just to be with him type of book and it wasn’t like that at all. Monica actually has self esteem and only swore off men to focus on her music career. She understands anything that happens between her and Jonathan will be just for fun. I was surprised by Jonathan’s character as well. He wasn’t a dominate with control issues. He was just a “normal” billionaire who lost the love of his life and just sleeps around. The only Monica annoyed me was she purposely didn’t win the bet they made. However, she does end up making it worth her while. Their relationship was really fun and easy to follow. I think the blurb of the book actually doesn’t do the story justice at all. I will end up reading the other books in this series because I’m really interested in seeing how it turns out. I definitely recommend this story for all erotica lovers who are looking for a confident female character.

“Yes?” He gasped.
“Yes.” I whispered. “Yes to everything.”
“Yes,” he whispered in my ear, then pushed my bra up and cupped my tits, finding my nipples and running them with his thumbs. My hips levitated from the desk, and I made some noise deep in my throat. Damn, he was good.

The Bookworm will be taking a break for a few weeks and will come back with more awesome books for you. Thanks!
